TURBINE FOR A PHOTOCATALYTIC PIGMENT REACTOR

Designer: Marco Zangirolami - Fonderia Mestieri Srl

This device is a new solution for measuring the activity of photocatalytic paints. It is radically less bulky than traditional devices, and allows direct field testing of photocatalytic activity.

It also requires 1000 times less gas.

This extremely sophisticated device required precise dimensions, perfectly smooth surfaces, and extreme accuracy in the 3D printing phase; it was therefore created using the DW 020X 3D printer with Invicta DL390 material.

After printing, the turbine was simply washed in water-alcohol solution and placed in the UV curing unit for 20 minutes - no other finishing was necessary other than removing the supports.

Technology: DW 020X3D stereolithography printer

Material: Invicta DL390

Build time:: 4 hours
